Goodwood Workings Master Service Agreement
Effective Date: 5-4-2026
1. General Scope of Services
The Project: Services will be performed as described in the specific Work Order or Estimate provided for each job.
Change Orders: Any changes to the original scope (extra tasks or material upgrades) must be approved in writing via a Change Order before work begins.
2. Payment & Materials
Payment Schedule: For larger projects (Remodeling/Roofing), a deposit 50% is required upfront. Remaining payments follow a "Draw Schedule" based on milestones.
Small Repairs: Handyman tasks are due in full upon completion.
Material Volatility: Due to rapid price changes, estimates are valid for 30 days. If materials are purchased after this, costs may be adjusted to current market rates.
3. Service-Specific Clauses
Roofing: We are not liable for interior dust or minor ceiling nail pops caused by vibration. Clients should remove fragile wall hangings.
Landscaping: We are not responsible for damage to unmarked underground lines (sprinklers, invisible fences) or minor lawn wear from heavy equipment.
Remodeling: If "hidden conditions" (mold, rot, or faulty wiring) are found after demolition, a Change Order will be required to address them.
4. Warranties & Liability
Workmanship Warranty: We provide a 2-year warranty on our labor. This does not cover normal wear and tear, storm damage, or issues caused by client-supplied materials.
Limit of Liability: Our total liability for any claim is limited to the total amount paid by the Client for that specific project.
Insurance: We maintain general liability insurance; homeowners must maintain adequate property insurance.
5. Access & Safety
Site Prep: Client must provide access to electricity, water, and the work area during agreed hours. Pets and children must be kept away from the work zone for safety.
Permits: Goodwood Workings will assist with building permits, but all permit fees are the responsibility of the Client unless otherwise specified.
6. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
